## Frequently Asked Questions

### What is the best free alternative to American Greetings?

Instant eCard is a free American Greetings alternative that needs no membership or subscription. You create a card, personalize it with your message, a photo, and even a song, then share a link -- no account required. American Greetings requires a paid membership to send most cards after a short trial.

### Is Instant eCard really free with no membership?

Yes. Creating and sending a standard eCard is free with no sign up and no recurring membership. Optional premium cards (extra cinematic effects and no branding) are a one-time $1.99 -- never a subscription.

### Can I send a card like American Greetings without paying?

Yes. Unlike American Greetings, which locks most cards behind a membership, Instant eCard lets you send free cards for birthdays, thank yous, holidays, and more without ever entering payment details.

### Does the recipient need an account to open the card?

No. You share a link and the recipient opens the card in any browser -- no account, no app, and no download. They can even reply to you directly on the card.

### Can a whole group sign one card?

Yes. Turn any card into a group eCard, share the contribution link, and up to 100 people can each add their own message -- perfect for office birthdays, farewells, and thank yous. See https://instantecard.com/group-ecards
